Dear Reader,

November’s here, and we’re already feeling the start of festive season vibes. October—the month of “is it still summer?” and “okay, it’s fall now”—is in the rearview. The leaves are full-on golden, the days are shorter, and autumn’s colours are deepening for winter. Think deep maple, mossy greens, cosy knits. Speaking of which, I’m obsessed with Mel’s Maple Matcha—my go-to drink this season.

October also had us reflecting. We celebrated Black voices, creativity, and culture. Black creators are shaping the world we live in—fashion, beauty, you name it. But it’s not just about celebrating. We’ve got to talk about the challenges that persist for Black-owned businesses. Inclusivity isn’t a trend; it’s something we need to work on consistently.

Brands, and society at large, have a responsibility to bridge these gaps in access and representation—ensuring inclusivity is an ongoing movement, not just a moment.

Now, November brings a whole new energy. The holiday season is officially here. Festive lights, gift shopping, and that feel-good spirit everywhere—yes, please. I’m already thinking about the perfect gifts, whether it’s one of these handbags or something more personal. It’s all about creating moments that matter.

And if you followed our earlier advice on starting your holiday marketing early, then you’re probably prepped and ready. But if it’s a bit of a scramble right now, don’t sweat it—there’s still time to polish things up and make the season smooth for your brand.

For anyone who loves the holiday rush like me, it’s an exciting time. But hey, not everyone’s into the fast pace. If you’re feeling the holiday overwhelm, take a breather. I always find it helps to carve out moments for yourself. This is the perfect time to slow down, brew your favourite tea, and catch up on those unmissable TV shows you’ve been meaning to watch. I’ve personally been enjoying the selection on Disney+, including In Vogue: The 90s and Rivals.

Looking ahead, I’m particularly excited about the next few weeks. There’s so much happening. We’ll be diving into Black Friday, holiday sales, and even a few surprise celebrity brand launches. And, of course, our gift guides will be here soon—everything from luxe candles to winter wardrobe must-haves (denim, anyone?). Plus, we’re talking all about how brands can keep the excitement going up to Christmas.

Whatever vibe you’re going for—festive and full-on or calm and cozy—Brand Insider’s got you. From gorgeous christmas colour palettes to the beauty products to treat yourself, we’ve got the inspo you need to make this season your own.

So, take a deep breath. We’re closing in on the end of the year, but let’s enjoy every bit of it.

Warmest wishes for the season ahead!
